Temperature: 75–82 °F (24–28 °C)
pH: 7.8–8.6 (alkaline)
Temperament: Semi-aggressive and territorial, especially males during breeding. Best kept with other robust Malawi cichlids of similar size. Provide a ratio of one male to multiple females to reduce aggression. Include plenty of rocks, caves, and hiding spots to mimic their natural habitat and minimize stress.
Diet: Omnivorous – accepts high-quality cichlid flakes or pellets, supplemented with frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. Occasional vegetable matter or spirulina can enhance coloration and overall health.
