The Colombian Zebra Pleco  is a striking freshwater catfish known for its bold black body and crisp white striping. Its armored build and sucker mouth make it an efficient bottom grazer, while its unique patterning adds strong visual contrast to aquariums. Peaceful and somewhat shy, it thrives in well-structured tanks with plenty of hiding spaces and clean water conditions.

Temperament: Peaceful but shy; best kept with calm tank mates. Requires caves, driftwood, and secure hiding areas to feel comfortable.

Diet: Omnivorous – prefers sinking carnivore pellets, algae wafers, and frozen foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp. Occasional vegetable matter can be offered.
