Cyphotilapia frontosa Six Stripe:

The Cyphotilapia frontosa “Six Stripe” is a striking, slow-moving cichlid known for its tall, arched body and elegant, horizontal striping. Its deep blue-gray coloration with subtle contrast along the stripes gives it a regal appearance. Calm and deliberate in nature, it’s best appreciated in larger, well-structured aquariums where it can display its natural behaviors and interact peacefully with other similarly sized, non-aggressive fish.

Care Guide:

Size: Up to 12–14 inches

Temperature: 74–80 °F

pH: 7.8–9.0 (alkaline)

Temperament: Generally peaceful for a large cichlid but can be territorial, especially during breeding. Best kept in groups of 5 or more to distribute aggression and in a spacious tank with rock caves and hiding spots. Avoid housing with much smaller fish that could be seen as prey.

Diet: Carnivorous – feeds on high-quality cichlid pellets, frozen or live foods such as krill, shrimp, and bloodworms. Occasional treats of small feeder fish are acceptable, but a varied diet ensures vibrant color and good health.
