Rare Hypomelanistic Leucistic (Lucy) Axolotl:
At Fish4Ever Aquatics, we prioritize the ethical and loving care of our axolotls. Our axolotls are healthy, lively, and undeniably adorable. We recommend housing a single axolotl in a tank of at least 20 gallons, with an additional 10 gallons for each additional axolotl to reduce the risk of nipping.
Rare - This axolotl has a pale pink or creamy white body with noticeably lighter features than a standard leucistic. Because it is hypomelanistic, it produces less melanin (dark pigment), giving it a brighter, more delicate appearance. The gills are usually light pink, peach, or soft coral rather than deep red, and the eyes remain dark, creating a gentle contrast against the light body color.
Hypomelanistic lucy axolotls often appear almost “glowing” under aquarium lighting and are prized for their clean, pastel look. Each individual may vary slightly in shade, making every one truly unique.
