Temperament: Semi-aggressive and highly intelligent; best kept singly or in a species-only setup. Can be territorial toward tankmates and requires plenty of hiding spaces such as caves, driftwood, and plants to reduce stress.
Diet: Carnivorous – requires a diet of hard-shelled foods to prevent overgrown teeth. Feed snails, clams, mussels, shrimp, and other meaty frozen or live foods. Flakes and pellets are usually ignored.
