Panda Angel

Panda Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare) are a striking color variety of freshwater angelfish, recognized for their contrasting black-and-white pattern that resembles a panda's markings. Their tall, laterally compressed bodies and flowing fins make them a centerpiece fish in planted community aquariums. Panda Angelfish thrive in spacious, well-maintained tanks with plenty of vertical swimming room, driftwood, and plants for cover. While generally calm, they can become territorial as they mature, particularly when forming breeding pairs.

Temperament: Semi-aggressive; generally peaceful when young but may become territorial with age or during breeding. Best kept with similarly sized, peaceful to moderately active tank mates.

Diet: Omnivorous – thrive on high-quality flakes, pellets, and angelfish-specific foods, supplemented with frozen or live brine shrimp, bloodworms, daphnia, and other protein-rich foods. Occasional vegetable-based foods help provide a balanced diet.
