Red Empress Cichlid males are admired for their striking fins and vibrant appearance. These fish are best kept in well-maintained aquariums with plenty of swimming space and hiding spots. While generally peaceful toward other similarly sized fish, males can display territorial behavior, especially during breeding, and do best with calm or non-aggressive tankmates.
