Red Lizard Catfish:
The Red Lizard Catfish is an elongated bottom‑dwelling freshwater fish prized for its striking red to terra‑cotta body and long, whip‑like tail that give it an elegant, almost reptilian appearance in the aquarium. It spends much of its time grazing along the tank bottom on algae and biofilm, adding both beauty and useful scavenging behavior to community setups.

Temperature: 75–82 °F (24–28 °C) — the warm, tropical range typical for many South American catfish.

Temperament: Peaceful and generally community‑safe with non‑aggressive tank mates. They are mostly bottom‑dwelling grazers and often more active at dusk or night.
Diet: Omnivorous. They’ll graze biofilm and algae naturally and should be fed a mix of algae wafers, sinking pellets, blanched vegetables (e.g., zucchini, spinach), and occasional frozen/protein foods like bloodworms or brine shrimp.
