Yoyo Loach:
The Yoyo Loach is an active bottom‑dwelling freshwater fish known for its unique maze‑like dark and light body patterns that often resemble the letters “Y” and “O,” giving it its playful name. These curious loaches are fun to watch as they scavenge the tank, interact with tankmates, and explore hiding spots, adding both personality and activity to your aquarium.
Care Guide:
Size: Up to 3–6 inches (7.5–15 cm) depending on environment and age.
Temperature: 75–82 °F (24–28 °C)
pH: 6.0–7.5
Temperament: Generally peaceful to semi‑aggressive and very social. Best kept in groups of 4–6 or more to encourage natural behavior and reduce stress/aggression. They can be boisterous and sometimes nippy when kept alone or with very slow, peaceful fish.
Diet: Omnivorous scavenger. Accepts high‑quality sinking pellets or wafers, and enjoys frozen or live foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and snails. They’ll also pick at detritus and leftover food on the bottom.
Tank Setup: Provide plenty of hiding places with rocks, driftwood, caves, and dense plants, along with a soft sandy or fine gravel substrate to protect their sensitive barbels. Well‑oxygenated water and regular water changes help keep them healthy
