Our cull pack includes shrimp that are healthy, but are culls.
Cull shrimp are shrimp that are removed from a breeding line because they don’t meet the desired color, pattern, or quality standards for that specific variety.
For example, when breeding Neocaridina shrimp like Blue Dreams, Cherry Shrimp, or Ultra Yellows, breeders aim for strong, solid coloration. Some shrimp may hatch with:

Faded or transparent color

Patchy or uneven color

Brown/wild-type coloration

Incorrect pattern for that line
Those shrimp are called culls.
Important: Cull shrimp are still healthy shrimp. The term only refers to appearance, not health or quality of life.
What breeders usually do with culls:

Sell them cheaper as community tank shrimp

Put them in mixed-color tanks

Use them as cleanup crew shrimp

Sometimes keep them in a separate tank to avoid weakening the main breeding line
Many hobbyists actually like culls because they’re affordable and still great algae eaters.
