The Snow White Chindongo “Focolofi” is a striking African cichlid known for its clean, pale coloration and elegant, streamlined body. Calm but confident, it stands out in rocky aquariums and pairs well with other peaceful Malawi cichlids. Its subtle, almost luminescent tones give a serene yet eye-catching presence in the tank.

Size: Up to about 3–4 inches (7.5–10 cm)
Temperature: 75–82 °F (24–28 °C)
pH: 7.8–8.6 (alkaline)
Temperament: Generally peaceful but males can be territorial, particularly during breeding. Best kept with a ratio of one male to several females or in a community tank with other similarly sized, non-aggressive Malawi cichlids. Provide plenty of rocks, caves, and hiding spots to minimize aggression and mimic their natural rocky habitat.
Diet: Omnivorous – accepts high-quality cichlid flakes or pellets, supplemented with frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. A varied diet supports health, coloration, and overall vitality.
