Horned Nerite Snail:

 

Horned Nerite Snails are hardy, freshwater-safe algae grazers known for their distinctive shell shape and steady activity. Peaceful and plant-safe, they help keep aquariums clean by consuming algae and biofilm without overpopulating, making them an excellent addition to community tanks.

Care Guide

  • Tank Size: 5+ gallons

  • Water Parameters: pH 6.5–8.0, Temp 72–78 °F

  • Diet: Primarily algae and biofilm; supplement with algae wafers or blanched vegetables if algae is scarce

  • Behavior: Peaceful, safe with fish and shrimp
